Breaking the black letterboxing/aspect ratio so objects go into that black space to appear like they’re cutting out of the screen. Also ties into the whole ‘this movie is 3d’ usp, not that movies are 3d anymore.
Use: Use this to hype up a trailer for social media, it tends to look really clever, but makes the rendering look a little weird because the lighting no longer matches, and makes it obvious that green screen is involved.
