Description:
When an object flies by the camera, the camera stays relatively still and pans following the object. Usually happens in slow motion, to emphasise the shot, this is definitely more a cinema technique, but it does work with the guide technique, or anything flying by a camera. This is a very common cinema technique and is easily recognisable when it has been used.
Use: This is usually used to emphasise a movement and focus on a subject as it moves. Allows the camera to move while keeping the focus on the object.
Genre: Camera and subject
