The standard match cut

Description:

Cut on the motion of an object, where on the next clip the motion is consistent, for added feel use a subject to help the eye follow the motion.

Use:

A fast paced cut to help move from one scene to the next. Easy to pull off and keep a piece consistent in terms of a thematic link. However, too many cuts make the video hard to follow. This is also a very cheap technique which is why it is so commonly used, it’s very easy to produce this transition.
